Is it not still possible to legally download Windows 7 Professional version for trial purposes?

I know it used to be available via Digital River, but that was taken down and you're now directed to a site that requires you to enter your current key.

However, my PC currently has installed Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit (OEM version), but I want to try Windows 7 Professional 64-bit as I need to be sure that my PC and its devices will fully support 64-bit Win 7 before purchasing it. I do know that my CPU is supported.

Thanks

Does that also apply to my OEM disk of Windows 7 Ultimate? For example, could I temporarily re-install that on a new partition on the same PC as the current 32-bit installation but just install it on the new partition as a 64-bit version instead of 32-bit?

Would that be possible and also legal?

Good point.

I don't understand why MS won't allow us to legally download ISOs for trial purposes. After all, if I could try it and it works okay then it would result in me spending money on a purchase.
