DAMN....
I really want this! But I don't want to give out my phone number.
---------------------------------------

I guess the more I think about it, the more I hesitate to enter cause I hate telemarketers so much that I wish it was legal to exterminate them.

As it is, I Rarely get any annoying telemarketer calls any more as I use Verizon Call Assistant. I keep a list of Telemarketer numbers and when a telemarketer calls, I pickup and hang up on the 1st or 2nd ring.

Something like this could possibly open the door to more telemarketer calls if the information is not kept confidential.

Is it really only limited to one entry per email address, not one entry per person? I would think they would get an overwhelming flood of email from nerd run home email servers.

[citation][nom]r0x0r[/nom]"The contest is limited to citizens of the USA 18 years and older."What if you're dyslexic and a citizen of AUS?[/citation]
What is the SUA?

Multiple email address are useless if they are all to one person. Especially if they don't even exist once the contest is over.

[citation][nom]jj463rd[/nom]You could apply for U.S. citizenship or else petition your government to make Canada a 51st state of the U.S.A. if our government accepts inclusion as such.[/citation]

HAHAHA HAHAHAH HAHAHAH you'll be okay.... how about the US becomes a province of Canada, at least this way you will all get free health care

Great move, Tom's!!!!
"How to please 37% of your users by annoying the other 63%", because that's what Alexa says about the residence of your site's visitors:

Tomshardware.com users come from these countries:

* 37.1% United States
* 18.1% Germany
* 8.5% India
* 3.9% Canada
* 2.8% Australia

http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/www.tomshardware.com

That's right, a full 63% of Tom's Hardware visitors come from OUTSIDE the US of A.

Also, what's that about "The contest is limited to citizens of the USA"?
It certainly should be RESIDENTS, not CITIZENS. What if an American citizen is living in a base in Antarctica, can he participate?

All in all, bad grammar and even worse policy.

do they mean Address and not email address ??
They ask for everything else.

For a website that started in Germany, and is read by mostly international visitors, I must say I am once again shocked by the ignorance of Bestofmedia.

Could someone PLEASE let me know where Dr. Thomas Pabst is these days so we could get back to seriousness? I'm getting tired of 'TomsRelayStation.com'

Hmmm...Canada to become 53rd state for a chance to win stuff? No thanks. You couldn't give me that prize in exchange for U.S. citizen status.

This message is not endorsed and the opinions expressed are not the opinions of RONPAUL.COM...but if you want to learn a bit about how much trouble you guys are in right now...I suggest you go there and learn. I visit the site every day for updates. Also search Google video: "IOUSA full movie"

Have a "capital"ist day.

There may be a few loopholes.
From wikipedia usa (disambiguation)
* Usa, Ōita, a city in Ōita Prefecture, Japan
* Usa District, Oita, a former district in Ōita, Japan
* Usa cho, a town in Kochi Prefecture
* Usa (Germany), a river in Germany
* Usa, Usinsk is a small village and near Usinsk, Russia. Oil-pumping station of Baltic Pipeline System

Nice but they (game developers) are not pushing the PC envelope any more. The game developers are too busy creating games for the kiddie consoles then hopefully they do a good port over to the PC. This will not give you Crysis style games, only mediocre port jobs. Crysis and possibly Farcry 2 were the last hardware crunching games. If someone knows of a newer one, let me know.

Who says that this contest is unfair because it's only for Americans? You only believe it's unfair because you think you have the right to get something that doesn't belong to you in the first place.

I'm, not an US citizen, and of course I'd like to win this...

But enough with the whining already!!!

If this is such a bad thing for you guys just stop reading Tom's and (as stated above) they'll lose 63% of the adds revenue.

You think you can actually win a PC, or do you think it's rather a collecting of email addresses for spam purposes?

You people really have no clue... Contest laws are already annoying to deal with in a single country. When you go international, it's just a nightmare. It wouldn't be worth the effort and no one would get anything. I'm just happy to see that there *are* giveaways.

Besides, it's intel sponsored which means intel probably influenced that as well, so don't only blame Tom's.

some of the comments on here bewilder me. what you should say is thank you intel and TH for this contest and for the hard work you do in your benchmarks and rig tests.
