I am trying to install Win XP pro on the following machine that was just put together:
ASUS P4P800-E delux
pentium 4 3.4
2 GB crosair xms 3200 (2x1gb)
2 Maxtor 160GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive, MODEL 6Y160M0 set up as raid 0 with the motherboard controller
Gainward nVIDIA GeForce 6800 GT and Gainward GeForce 5200 pci card for 3 monitors

The drives are recognized by the bios. The drives format and windows begins to install. The machine rebooted during the install and now the set up hangs. The Windows XP loading screen displays for a few seconds then goes blank. I have let it stay like this for up to 1 hour. The monitor is still receiving a signal but nothing at all is displayed on the screen. i have no idea where to trouble shoot from here. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Try removing the extra video card and maybe other pci devices that you don't absolutely need for setup. Windows might be happier with a more standard configuration for the initial setup.
