[SOLVED] Win10 upgrade install Loop?

With the support for 7 ending in a few days Ive been long overdue trying to upgrade.
First off, I've got a new drive for a fresh install.

I've been running win7 on 32 bit but this time around I got given a 64 bit also.
My proccessor can support 64 bit!

Upon trying to install win10 x 64 via the install tool it just loops.
It has no problem with the win7 x 64 and can run both 7 and 10 at 32bit.
I stayed up late last night installing the service pack 1 and other patches in the hope that the answer layed there.
My machine is running so well now I have a fresh win7 x 64 running but as we know this eventually will play up.
In a nutshell, win7 x64 running well. Win10 x64 upgrade loops after loading files.
Why is 10 x64 looping Pls?

Don't be offended when I say this but just because your pc is 64bit it does not mean it is good enough to run it . check out this article.

Yes, I have been suspecting this is the case but in the mean time I've been busy ruling out all other possibilities.

It ran 10 in 32 bit but as sluggish as hell, but the upgrade from 7 x86 to 7 x64 has had such a vast improvement along with my new hard drive that I wish I done it years ago.

It is an old Dell server (Xeon 3Ghz with raid disabled).
it's still installing updates right at his minute but I think I admit defeat.
It for some reason won't even accept an upgrade from the outdated/unusable IE8 but I'm not too concerned as long as firefox can run.

Glad to have been of help , btw the reason it is taking a long time to update is because you have a clean install and you have got to get 5 years worth of updates. When you come to turn of your pc you will know if it is the middle of an update because instead of shutdown it will say install and shut down , its ok to click that tab and walk away from it. When you next turn on the pc you may think it is hanging but it will be sorting itself out before you see any installing/update/do not turn off messages.

The edge is a good browser but you also need firefox or google chrome because some websites running older set ups don't like the edge.
