Since you mention doing a ram upgrade, did you mix and match or is it the same exact stick of ram only in dual channel? Which slots have you populated both sticks of ram?
Desperate but one thing I also forgot to mention was I used this exact same thing on a dell computer and it worked fine but once I built my custom then all that started to happenWas your RAM purchased as a Dual Channel set (both sticks packaged in the same package) or were they purchased separately? It does make a difference.
YesDid you try removing the old ram and placing the newer one in the same channel and check if you still get the error?
i did do a diagnostic and it said everything was fineI'd start the memory diagnostics and let them run for several hours. It sure sounds like an intermittent RAM problem. If you've overclocked anything, I'd go back to the standard settings too.
Just because it worked on one machine does not mean that it will work on another. There's a reason dual (or quad) channel RAM is sold in matched sets. Even so called identical components aren't.Desperate but one thing I also forgot to mention was I used this exact same thing on a dell computer and it worked fine but once I built my custom then all that started to happen

And did the PC start with the new one when you removed the older one? If so you're in a loss you need dual channel RAM that's sold in matched sets.
