Basically, I installed windows 10 earlier this morning. After I installed it I went to go onto the internet and found that Facebook, YouTube and Twitter would not load up. Has anyone else experienced this and has anyone found any solutions for this issue?

PS - my internet is on

Hello, im not going to be any help, but i just wanted to say the exact same is happening to me as soon as the update had finished, it treats the specific sites as though they are internet failures, and says it cant connect, but then i fave five other browser tabs that are open, such as email, a site that plays videos (so the play through isnt a problem) ect, but you tube and facebook wont even work, its so frustrating. I'm seriously considering going back to 8.1 whilst they sort this out, but not many people seem to be experiencing it. I've reviewed all my settings and all that. I'll be looking in to whether you can reinstall windows 10 once you've gone back to 8.1, but so far all i know is you only have a month to go back to 8.1-- however, in a month they may have seen the issue and resolved it.

The same over here. Every site works except YouTube google facebook and Twitter... I'm pretty sure it's the cause of Windows 10 because before i updated i hadn't any problems. If someone knows what's ging on, pleas help me? :)

Hey guys! I recently just updated to Windows 10 and was facing the same problem. Tried different browsers and tried changing the DNS on IPv4. bla bla bla and all the other things I found online. All didnt work!

So then I tried to uncheck Internet Protocol Version 6(TCP/IPv6) and then it worked! I checked the box for IPv6 again but this time I change the DNS to 2001:4860:4860::8888 or alternatively 2001:4860:4860::8844, which are both open Google DNS. Still worked.

To change your IPv6 Settings:
1) Open Network and Sharing and Center
2) Click on Change Adapter Settings on the left
3) Right Click the connection you are using (wifi or ethernet) and click on properties
4) Scroll down and uncheck the IPv6

or if you wanna keep the IPv6 checked then,

5)Click on IPv6 and click on Properties
6)Change the DNS to 2001:4860:4860::8888 and 2001:4860:4860::8844
7)Click ok and close everything
8) Refresh your browser!

Hope this works for you guys as well.

I've been running Windows 10 for a little under a month now. I don't particularly like it but reverting back to W7 is probably not worth it. Anyway, I had the same problem for the first time today. Facebook and Google Chrome simply would not launch. I tried shutting the PC down. After screen went blank it seemed to hang with fan running forever. Had to physically shut it off. Restarted and FB and Chrome launch OK now.

I have had the same problem, I have tried re installing Chrome and Firefox, adding and removing adblock, updating drivers and Adobe Flash Player, all the same. Glitchy, News feed not loading, friends not loading, Search on FB not responding, videos freeze on FB, games wont load etc

My hubby had a look and we made this change..
Right click on start
go to device manager
Look under network adapters
I had a 'Realteck Family Protector' thing on
I disabled that and it seems loads better.

I am assuming this was making it safe for kids maybe? Checking everything? we have no kids so not an issue..

I found a better solution to this and a whole litany of grief Windows 10 was causing me. I reverted to Windows 7. Best move I ever made. It's almost as good as Windows XP.
