Question windows 10 is hanging 5-10 seconds every half hour or so. Event errors 129 and 153

PC specs: Windows 10 Pro most recent version, AMD Ryzen 5 2600, RX 580, 16gb ram.

My main os drive is a PNY 120gb SSD and my other 2 drives are another SSD and a standard HDD. All my games are stored on the other drives, but my OS and programs (launchers like steam and bnet, and spotify, browsers, etc) are on the C drive with the OS.

I'm getting a lot of event ID 129 and 153 and it hangs my computer for a few seconds. This is a fresh windows install I did earlier this week.

I used a SSD health checker and got good results.

in my resource monitor, my disk 2 (my C drive and the one throwing me the errors in the event log) is spiking like crazy

It's not really something I can test because it happens randomly. Unless you're saying to run the health check in safe mode

It's roughly every half hour. It will happen a few times in a 10 minute period or it will go a couple hours.

Just swapped them. I'll keep an eye on the resource manager

Nope. Happened again. Now it's drive 1, Which is the new C drive location

It's the pny SSD that runs my operating system.

So that's weird. In my Event log, it's telling me drive 1 (SSD) is the problem. But according to this, the ssd is fine and my hdd has over 1000 issues, but they're not the ones in the event viewer. Both drives passed the self test with no issues.

I'm not, but I may have fixed it. Someone else had the issue when I was browsing and said that putting the computer in performance mode in the power settings worked for them. A few other people commented saying it worked for them too. After a couple hours, I've had no hiccups so that may have worked for me as well. I'll play around with it some more tomorrow and see if that really did it.
