Hello Guys
I am using Lenovo Ideapad Z510 laptop running Windows 10.
From past few days randomly my laptop freezes for few seconds & shut down automatically. Also there is tuk sound while shut down.

In Event Viewer showing following-

Critical 19-03-2021 01:09:43 Kernel-Power 41 (63)

Error 19-03-2021 01:09:47 EventLog 6008 None

What could be the reason for auto shutdown?

those are recorded after the fact. not before.
event 41 is a reaction to an unexcepted restart
event 6008 is the same. What details does it show?

i would check health of the boot drive.
what are specs of laptop? what CPU, storage etc have you got?

windows doesn't know why it restarted. it would have thrown a BSOD at you if it knew.

I recognise speccy above.

how did you check drives?
Samsung - https://www.samsung.com/semiconductor/minisite/ssd/download/tools/
Seagate - https://www.seagate.com/au/en/support/downloads/seatools/seatools-win-master/

ram - Try running memtest86 on each of your ram sticks, one stick at a time, up to 4 passes. Only error count you want is 0, any higher could be cause of the BSOD. Remove/replace ram sticks with errors. Memtest is created as a bootable USB so that you don’t need windows to run it

random? any time? not just in specific applications or anything? it doesn't matter?

might want to run this - https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/19792/Intel-Processor-Diagnostic-Tool

I don't have any prior experience of disassembling or assembling laptop.
So tested Ram as it is.
Does this means Ram is the culprit for automatic shutdown?

the only error count you want in memtest is 0 so yeah, ram could be reason for the shutdowns.
You need new ram, since you ran both sticks at once its impossible to tell which is to blame but you probably want to replace both sticks anyway so that the new ones match each other. I would look at 16gb unless 8gb was enough for you.

So I should look for DDR3 798MHz Laptop Ram. Right?
If possible, Can you provide a link for any compatible ram for my laptop? So I will search for similar specification Ram.
