SORRY FOR THE LONG TEXT
Hello, for the past 4 days I've been trying to get my new 970 evo plus 1tb nvme drive to work properly on my pc, my configuration is: CPU: i5-10400F, RAM Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB Dual Channel CL32, Motherboard Gigabyte H510M K V2(rev 1.0), GPU RTX 2060, I have had for one year two SATA III drives, one from Kingston(the a400) with 240 gbs, one Sillicon Power Ace A55 1TB, PSU(if necessary) nJOY Woden 650W, no problems with them, running very smoothly. For the past month I've been considering an upgrade to an NVME drive for better boot time, performance and loading times on Windows 11. First, I bought the ADATA LEGEND 850 LITE, that didn't have a DRAM, I told myself it's not a problem and installed it on my MB(be aware, my MB doesn't have a screw, the nvme stays in place with that plastic thing, I know it's not practical but it does the job). Finally installed, I tried cloning my C: Windows Drive directly on it, Disk Management recognized the drive well, initialised as GPT. Macrium Reflect did not work as intended the first time I used it, as it gave me something about error 9, I wiped the drive, tried again, somehow worked, I go ahead to boot from the new NVME drive, select it as first from the boot options, tried enabling/disabling Secure Boot, Fast Boot and CSM(it always stood off). Something was off, because while booting, the spinning circle would get stuck at some random times, okay, I said it was a bug, retried it and it was the same. I also tried installing fresh Windows on that, and still, even though both SATA drives were disconnected, it still would get stuck PAST the windows installation, at "Getting devices ready 30 something percent" , with the help of some old forum posts and chatgpt, I managed to rebuild the bootloader using cmd on a windows media creation tool using an usb stick. Nothing worked, tried again, it would still get stuck at 30%. Reading through some forums, I figured out the ADATA was not my option and returned it to get a new 970 evo plus with 1tb, hoping that my problem would go away. Sadly, today the SSD arrived, plugged it in, Disk Management recognises it, installed Samsung Magician( for some reason disk cloning is disabled), got my usb drive with windows on it(I'm using Ventoy by the way, and I do not think that's a reason of failure) unplugged both SATA drives since I've read that it's better that you unplug every other drive while installing on a new NVME. Surprise surprise, it did not work. This time, I tried using the W11 24H2 installer, and so far I got to "Getting devices ready 80%" and the loop got stuck there. 30 minutes after, still there. I do not know what to do, I've tried all methods, the remaining one is updating my bios which seems stupid, but I'll try it since I have no option left. My head is filled up with this and I want to get over this.

Just one thought - I did see a problem - a real nuisance in 24H2 - I have installed three such computers the last week. The thing is that MS has forgotten to stop the install at a certain point, something like you descibe. I all previous installtions in Win11 and win 10, the installation stopped and and asked the user to remove the boot USB! Now it doesn't, so the installation will reboot almost directly and start reading the installation from the installation media again, and again, and again...

Also, was bitlocking enabled and was not before on the computer? Maybe you should have disbled it and let it decrypt the disk before transfer it to a new disk?

No bitlock was enabled, thanks for the reply, will try in installing 23H2, if not, my last resort is to update the BIOS.

try to enable CSM in bios, switches your system into legacy boot mode, which is more compatible with your hardware.
