Windows 8 Enterprise and Live ID

I just have a general question, while I have been testing Windows 8 Enterprise, i have questioned what am I missing by not signing in with out a Live ID. If this is an OS built for enterprises, why should i lose functionality because i dont want my computers tied to anything off-net, especially Live.

PS: My developers dont like it haha, they pretty much have to rebuild 20% of their code to work with IE10. So instead were actually just gonna move to Chrome compatability

You don't have all of your settings synced between computers that you have an account on, and applications like mail, SkyDrive etc won't be preconfigured using your Live credentials. Apart from that, you're not missing much.
