Great choice. I guess UEFI + Legacy handy for people who dual boot but not for those that want to use legacy only. It looks like you need to find a way to backup that data then, or buy a SSD and put win 10 on it, and keep other drive as storage - this would be my choice if current drive is a hdd.
when you fresh install windows 10 and it recognises a UEFI bios, it will refuse to install itself on MBR. I have been there. But I wasn't concerned about the solution. You might be,

Have you got anywhere you can put the other data? As win 10 when it recognises a UEFI bios wants you to delete all the partitions on the drive and leave it as unallocated space, so it create new partitions in GPT format.

Now if you don't have anywhere to copy the info to, there is a work around. You can change the boot method to legacy in bios and Win 10 will install on MBR since it has no choice.

GPT is future, it lets you use hard drives so big they don't exist yet, whereas MBR is restricted to just 2.2tb.

I Deleted the Windows Partition by mistake and now i am getting a windows boot manager error
saying a required device isnt connected or cant be accessed. The status is 0xc000000f. When i boot the pc with the bootable usb it goes straight to the error i cant even see the windows installation screens

doesn't sound like its using the USB at all and just the hdd. you don't get boot errors normally with a USB

Can you tap F12 at start up and make sure USB is top of boot order?

if you copied everything off hdd using ubuntu live cd, then I would just delete all the partitions on the hdd and start again with GPT

my usb is not booting unless i disable hdd in boot options but then when installation menu comes up the error message "windows cannot be installed to this drive as it is not bootable " appears. What to do?

motherboard is msi fm2-a55m-e33 its a pretty old motherboard its an amd motherboard. but i haven't really used been using my desktop much.
Bios interface is some sort of graphic interface which doesn't really have many options.the efi shell cant be used anyway i dont know how to use it.
i enabled hdd in boot menu and tried to install windows 7 but even that isnot working
buit in efi shell is default boot options i am not able to change that

Is UEFI USB at front of the Boot Device priority bar? Its highest priority at left going to lowest on right

Your manual is too short, it is also multi language which explains why in yours, the settings menu gets only 1 page but in other MSI manuals it gets about 12.

At boot, hitting F11 gets you to the Boot menu

Um, I assume hdd is sata and not ide?

yes hdd is sata
the boot priority i was talking about was when i hit f11
first option id efi shell and it is highlighted everytime i boot
i am trying to install windows 7 now as i couldnot get the windows 10 installer to work

if you manage to get win 7 on, you could always upgrade win 10 over the top. Did you ever wipe that partition that has all your data? Shame if you did as If you just put win 7 back where your install was, it will not complain about GPT. win 7 has to use MBR as it doesn't recognise GPT

Even windows 7 is not installing
During windows 7 installation after completion of installation of updates system restarts to finalize the installation but after windows loading screen the system just loops to the start screen
i changed sata mode to ide but i cant see any changes and the linked thread isnt really useful as it shows access from within windows but i dont have a windows installed
