Windows 11, Asus z890 pro art, ultra 9 CPU, windows 11, 4090 GPU. The M.2 I'm trying to fresh install windows to is the T705 crucial with the heatsink. The M.2 shows up in the BIOS but not in the list when i'm in the windows install media menus. I've updated my bios to the latest version which is 1501. Any ideas?

Icl I’m on windows 11 and it sucks if I were you I’d go back to windows 10 when you feel like considering you have good specs for my standard (I’m out here rocking a 1660ti and ryzen 5 3400g + 16gbs of ram)

Did you clear the CMOS after verifying BIOS was successfully flashed to the latest?

Download the SSD driver from here;
https://uk.crucial.com/support/ssd-support/t705-support
using another system, extract the file, then copy over the contents of X64 folder. The inf file in it should come in handy when you're at the OS install window.

Speaking of OS, where did you source the installer for the OS?

Yes I reset my bios settings to default. None of the INF files show up unless i select to have incompatible drivers display. Pressing install on it does nothing. I got windows install media from here:

Make sure sata controller is set to AHCI.
Disable Intel RST.
Disable Fast boot.
Disable secure boot.

If still no success, then load nvme driver during install.
You can get nvme driver from gigabyte usb install tool
https://www.gigabyte.com/us/Support/Utility?kw=windows&p=1

NVME driver is generic. Choose any windows USB tool download.
Motherboard doesn't matter, windows 7 doesn't matter.
Download archive, extract it, find driver in
WindowsImageTool\StorageControllers\Intel_NVMe\Driver64
or
WindowsImageTool\StorageControllers\Samsung_NVMe_v1_4_7_17\64bit
Copy to USB flash drive and load during windows install.
