Hello,
I have googled far and wide, and have yet to hear of a problem similar to this.
Windows appears to be shutting off two of my USB devices without warning, for no apparent reason.
My keyboard will randomly hang on a key or shut off, and my USB wifi adapter will simply turn off. It will cut me out from the internet and give me 5 connection bars with a red X over them, unlike if the adapter was not plugged in, it would shot a monitor and a cable with a red X. This must mean it is not disconnecting from the computer but something more trivial as to being disabled by the computer.
I have tried:
-Reinstalling drivers
-Prevent windows from turning off devices to save power
-Disable USB suspending in power options
-Plugging them into different USB ports
Both of these devices work normally on other computers, so I can't seem to understand why all of a sudden these devices just want to turn off? I have to plug them back into the same or other USB port to get them to renable, where they will inevitably turn off again. Please note the devices aren't randomly disconnecting, as windows still detects them plugged in and working properly when they are off.
PC Specs:
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
RAM: 16GB Dual Channel 1600mhz DDR3
Mobo: Gigabyte 970A-UD3P
CPU: AMD FX-6300
Wifi Adapter: Netgear WNA1100 N150
Keyboard: BlackWidow Ultimate 2013
Thanks!
