Hello,
I have a PC running NT 4.0 and have installed the Dell Universal USB driver based on InsideOutNetworks USB tray. The PC now recognizes USB devices and in the USB tray I can view my HP M601n Laserjet's info retrieved by the PC via the USB connection, but I can't seem to add the printer to make it functional. I even tried running the HP supplied disk, but it gives the "Not an NT application" error.

Any thought to get this printer going?

Solution
I wouldn't rate your chances of finding NT 4.0 drivers for a modern printer. That OS is way past its sell-by date. It reached its end-of-service date seven years ago.

You're most likely correct. I had to ask because you just never know.

Are you just looking for a driver? You should use an old HP Laserjet III driver. This should make the printer functional. It may have a problem recognizing additional trays.
