Balmer finally adding to his harem! Muahaha! I believe Sinofsky planned to leave MS after Winodws 8 launch and nothing to do with its success. Will laugh if Sinofsky appears at Google or similar competition.

damianrobertjones says: Billions upon billions of ipad sales... yeah, consumers hate touch and easy to use UIs.

The Key word here Mr. Jones is ipad (tablet) not Desktop (PC) windows 8 AKA METRO UI is not easy to use on the desktop! In fact windows AKA Metro Apps are just a silly duplication/limitation attempt (inside of the Metro closed runtime) of the type of applications/functionality that already run fine on the desktop! And how many open source applications are there for this closed AKA Metro (M$ gets a cut of the profits) runtime M$ money grab? That limited AKA METRO runtime that has limited/no interoperability with existng
desktop applications, and thus forces the purchase of Metro/modern apps from the M$ app store! The Hay! folks! widgets are bad on windows 7, people at M$ thought of a new revenue stream! Let's rename the widgets Apps, create a closed runtime (Metro/modern) for them to run, and milk the desktop users like the Tablet Cows!

[citation][nom]f-14[/nom]$38-$89 product at launch when most other windows since windows 98 have luanched at $200-$300.[/citation]This alone shows you don't know what you're talking about. Are you seriously comparing promotional upgrades for recent PC/OS purchases to full RETAIL copies purchased at full price? You're on crack. MS has often done promotional upgrades. The final prices for Win8 will be in line with most of their popular consumer releases. Look at OEM pricing for Win7 vs Win8 on Newegg. Same price. They even made OEM licenses officially OK for DIY boxes.

If you don't like Metro, don't use it. Get Start8 or similar if it really bothers you. Having played around with it, once you know the keyboard shortcuts it works fine.

[citation][nom]maximiza[/nom]I think i am sticking with Vista Ultimate for a little while longer now.[/citation]
Same here. Vista Ultimate on my desktop and Win7 Pro on my netbook. I'm not touching (unintentional pun) Win8 if I can help it.
