Hi all,

Hope I am posting this in the correct type of forum. Has anyone else experienced crashes similar to shown below? This is happening on our Windows File Server 2012 R2. No changes have been made recently.

111220-9640-01.dmp 12/11/2020 14:48:22 DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE 0x1000009f 0000000000000004 000000000000012c ffffe183311f5200 fffffc0793c2f780 ntoskrnl.exe ntoskrnl.exe+3fb326 NT Kernel & System Microsoft® Windows® Operating System Microsoft Corporation 10.0.19041.685 (WinBuild.160101.0800) x64 ntoskrnl.exe+3fb326 C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\111220-9640-01.dmp 12 15 19041 1,630,348 12/11/2020 14:49:16

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

I wonder if the windows debugger works for Server 2012

Can you go to C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\
  • copy that file to documents
  • upload the copy from documents to a file sharing web site,
  • and share the link in your thread so we can help fix the problem
or at least, see if the debugger can read them.

its likely a driver, though strange if it stops working now after no changes.

NTOSKRNL = windows kernel. It handles all driver requests, power management, and memory management. It sits between Hardware and Applications. It got blamed but its not the cause
