My grandpa just got a new laptop. He gave it to me to help set everything up on and it's got S installed on it. I'm trying to switch it to Home but when it pulls up the store page it's just a grey blank page. I can click on the home tab and other apps and those pull up just fine, but the opt out screen is just blank.

I was also able to search "S Mode Optout" the first two times I loaded into the store but that won't even come up in the search results now. I can search "Windows 10 Pro" but when I click it again it's just a blank grey screen (not that I want to pay for pro just wanted to see if they were trying to funnel me to the pay version).

Looking around I've tried a bunch of fixes. I tried the WSreset thing, I've restarted the machine a few times (leaving it off for a few hours even). I've tried with the network being marked as public and private.

I am also having this same issue on an HP Stream laptop, it's stuck in S mode and the Windows store refuses to load anything when you try to get to the switch out of S mode page. I'm thinking it may be a new issue / current server problems, as my google-fu has not returned any relevant results other than your post here. It seems pretty odd to me that the only way to switch out is through the store and that there are no powershell commands or some other work around to initiate this process.

Personally I have tried using safe mode w/ networking but no luck as the WIFI adapter still does not function in safe mode. Tried using recovery mode cmd prompt to run a system file check on the drive, no joy. Ensuring Windows is fully updated now to rule that out. Again though, I'm starting to think it may be temporary problems with their servers or store but I can't be sure of course. Will respond if I can get it working and let you know if I found anything.
