How do I back up files in Windows XP? I went to START,
then ALL PROGRAMS, then ASSESSORIES, then SYSTEM
INFORMATION and I do not see BACK-UP!

What do I have to do to back up files before before I
fully install Windows XP Service Pack 2.

Thank you for all your help

Thank you for the Link.

I went to the link and downloaded the patch, but....I get
an error message that says:

The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed.
This can occur if you are running Windows in Safe Mode or
if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed.
Contact your support personnel for assistance.

As far I know, I am running Windows in regular mode.
But....I do have the Windows XP Service Pack 2 asking me
to Restart the computer and I am holding off until I back
up my personal files.

Thank you for your continued help.

Note: You have to right-click on the Backup installation file and select "Install".

Thanks for all your help....

I never could get the BACK-UP files to work. But, I did copy some files to a
CD, basically just my PERSONAL FILES, just in case they were wiped out with
the new Windows XP Service Pack 2.

I had also loaded SPY BOT prior to the Service Pack to get rid of alot of
stuff like POP-UP ADS that would not stop! I was having 6-8 POP-UPS just
trying to get check my E-mail.

Just out of curiousity, I ran my Norton Virus software prior to the Spy Bot
and the Spy Bot took care of all the problems that were slowing down my
computer.

Finally did load the Windows XP Service Pack 2 and prayed nothing would go
wrong and so far so good!

Again....Thanks for being here to help.
