WIndows XP Installation HELP

I am trying to install windows xp. I am able to start
formating but then there is a message that come up and
says my disk my be damaged but I know that it is not. IT
also say to make sure the drive is swiched on and
properly connected to the computer but I know that it is
connected. It also says if the disk id a SCSI disk, make
sure yout SCSI devices are properly terminated. I am not
sure if the disk a SCSI disk and if it is I am not sure
how to terminate SCSI divices. CAN YOU HELP PLEASE!

how do you know the drive is not defective...
did you run a diagnostic from the mfg?

as to scsi...just check your bios messages or else just plain open the case
and have a look
if it is scsi , the mfg should have any drivers you need
and give you instructions as to where to put the terminator
