Hi

I'm running WinXP sp2 and I've got Intellipoint 5.2 installed. Bought this
mouse along with a overdue upgrade.
The problem is that, seemingly randomly, the mouse switches itself off. The
red light turns off on the bottom of the mouse and the cursor, obviously,
stops moving.
The only way to turn it back on is to remove both batteries. They are both
brand new and the software reports them as full and the wireless levels as
high.

Sometimes it happens if i stop using the mouse for a minute or so. Happens
every day or so, sometimes more, with relative high usage. I've tried it on
both USB and PS/2 with same effect...

Any ideas?
thanks
H

Harry, do you have the latest driver for your mouse? Downloaded from the
website of the manufacturer?

I do indeed. That would be the Intellipoint 5.2 from Microsoft. It's a
software and driver combination.

Since you mentioned that the problem increases with usage, I would suspect
a hardware problem, and hope that your IntelliMouse is still in warranty.

Hi guys!! I noticed that I'm not the only one to have hardware problems.
I' ve bought the "Microsoft intellimouse explorer for bluetooth" and it
happens that due to battery economy it turns off constantly.

Is there a way to increase the time of hibernation, or change the
settigs of the mouse?

Thank you 🙄
