The mouse is the "Natec Robin" model. This situation kept getting worse and worse with the time.Last time (this week) i used a brand new toshiba battery, only to find out that this little mouse drained it all in 4 days of little use, with turning it off regularly and even sometimes pulling the battery out completely. But it still managed to consume it all.I noticed a little rust at the "-" spring of the battery socket but i doubt it was there from the beginning since i bought this mouse this winter.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Very carefully clean out the "little rust" as best you can.

Use a wooden toothpick or some hard piece of plastic - e.g., tine on an plastic fork.

Goal is to ensure that there is no rust path between the "-" spring and any other conductor. Hopefully the existing rust will just flake away.

Try to find some other batteries to use and test with.

And, if possible, add a couple of photographs.
