Yes, I know you've all been asked a million times, and here it is
again.

Except that I know it's -u wizard -Z or what not.

My issue is that I can't remember where to enter that / how to access
through DOS and start nethack in those modes.

If someone takes the time to help me out here, thanks a bunch!!

Correct me anyone if I have a sloppy error here or if I don't
understand, but: That depends on where NH is on your computer. If you
can open the folder containing it outside of DOS then use that order
with a cd in front. For instance, I would type cd c:/documents and
settings ....etc.
After you've gotten to the folder containing NH, then just type Nethack
-u etc.

If you're using Windows, try making a shortcut to the executable and add
the extra bits to the end of the Target line. For example, mine looks like

"%NetHackDir%\NetHack.exe" -uwizard -D

I would imagine the same works for you.

except instead of cd c:/... you have to use cd c:\ as the forward slash is
used for command line switches in dos.

It's only -u wizard -Z in Slash'em.

It's -u wizard -D or -D -u wizard in Vanilla (Can't remember which)
