GTS 450 is a FLOP card REbranded 9800GTX which is SLOW even for low end games like WoW or COD ect I don't see how you are confusing an old slow and out classed card with a person but ok logic failed on your end.

You're confusing it with GT 250. GTS 450 is a fermi GPU, and it's really enough for both WoW and CoD for high settings at 720p. No need to insult it with minesweeper.

Thanx for correcting in fact I was wrong GTS 450 is even SLOWER than GTS 250 LOL -

The only thing massive about Crysis 2 is the hype that surrounds it. Crysis 1 is still more demanding and better looking and like you say The Witcher 2 and Arma 2 as well are much more demanding plus there are many more.

I have been playing Zelda: A Link to the past on the ZNES emulator so really a GTS 450 would be overkill for me right now.

I just love how the once amazing OP as crap 8800 gtx is now called crap. You know that card can still run most games at high settings these days so a 450 gts should easily be able to fill in the gap after that. As long as it isnt a super demanding game like crysis 2, skyrim, metro 2033, BF3, that card will still run great.

I played all those games on my GTS450 (mine's an underclocked, DDR3 version of ASUS, click on my sig) and it still plays Crysis 2 DX9 at 720p on 'very high', Metro at 720p on Very High, Skyrim at 1600X900 at Mid-High, BF3 at 720p at Ultra-High settings.
I still get decent frame rates for all of them. :)

It's a good card for 720p, but higher than that, no.

The 450 is a good mid-range card. It is mid-range. Not low-end.

Don't let "MMO Fan" get to you. He is a troll. I think he is the same one that Tom's Hardware kept banning. Finally they did an IP ban and total forum wipe, and it was the day before this guy signed up. Probably changed his IP and is back with a vengeance! LMFAO I don't know why losers like him even bother.

With that said, I have a dual 6970 rig that I regret. About the only thing I do with it is benchmarks and videos and stuff. I don't game at high resolutions and by the time this much power is needed for 1080p, my rig will be considered old, and I will be the one saying...

"I played all those games on my ************* and it still plays ****** at '.. .... ... "

If I had it to do over again I would have went with a 560 and put that money somewhere else.

Yeah, I know.

not sure why he wont compare games the way they come out of the box.I could load morrowind with mods and the game will run crappy on everything what is that like a 10 year old game?crysis 2 is not even in the discussion period.Unless there is a game im not aware of arma 2 and witcher 2 are top dogs

You should get 2 more monitors.I got a 7970 and just ordered a 7950 for crossfire and i actually need the power for 3 monitors. If i was running 1080 even a single 7970 is overkill imo.

Hindsight's a real pain in the ass.

I can't afford eyefinity and time's ticking away on my system, it depreciates with every new generation of hardware.

I was a fool, at least I can admit it. But hey, at least my system rocks at 1080p! :bounce:

See the second line on the previous comment.

Thanks, though.

Plus, everything I have heard tells me that a 6970x2/6990 is a tad too weak for maxing games in 5760x1080. I would need one more 6970, and that would also entail a new motherboard for me.

See what I mean when I say that my rig wasn't too thought out?

if it makes you feel better gamer, i have a 6950 with unlocked shaders and its overclocked and i could use just a touch more power in the graphical department

in bf3 on ultra (no msaa) i get an average of about 55 fps. what i would like to see is nothing lower than 60 so that vsync is done right. im sure u have no problem with that!

Yeah, but I read somewhere that the unlocked 6950's overclock better (than the 6970).

I don't exactly feel bad. I am proud of my system, I just look at what might have been if I would have saved money and did things a little smarter.
