AS I SAID !!!!!! I am sure Nvidia and AMD have it much much better than that though and LIKE I SAID I have tryed 3D on the 3ds nINTENDO

I misunderstood what you meant by having used 3ds. You didn't clarify anything else, so I assumed it was an extension of your previous experiences.

Anyways, yes 3D vision looks awesome on the right games and some of the games that aren't designed to use it have been fixed by a mods. Helix even created a tool so we can fix most games our self.

Crysis 2 in 3D vision may be the best 3D vision game made at this point. Skyrim with a Helix mod is also pretty impressive.

Contacts are great mate once you get used to them they are as natural as breathing.

I could definitely understand that problem. 1 set of glasses is enough. Although I've known a few people to hate contacts only to later try again, then prefer contacts.

I have a 3DS and it's awesome. I had much rather have 3D on the go without glasses than be pressed up against my monitor with gaudy eyewear. To be honest I have tried it, and I had much rather have a good 2560x1600 or Eyefinity setup any day of the week, especially considering very few games support it. It does look awesome, but I don't think we are quite there yet.

I hate to break it to you, but Bystander is right. It does look amazing. The only reason I don't want it with my PC is because there aren't enough games that support it to the point that I would invest in a 3D monitor, and plus I am not crazy about the idea of wearing glasses. But it does look awesome and there is no doubt in my mind that 3D is the future for gaming, especially on the PC.

But right now I had rather have a good high-res setup and wait for the technology to ripen a tad more.

Very few games have in game support, but I'd guess about 1/3 of my games do look great with 3D, and recently I found a modder who has fixed a number more and uploaded his modding tool for anyone to use. Now most my games work great with it.

Who really cares what you look like in the privacy of your home? Anyone who comes over to game with you will be enamored by the 3D and be begging to use them as well. No one cares what they look like when in use.

I edited my original comment.

Where I said "like a stooge" impressed that it was about looks, and that wasn't what I meant. That's why I edited it. For me, I just don't like the idea of having something on my face when glasses free 3D is clearly a reality and just over the horizon. It does look amazing and there is no doubt in my mind that the future of gaming is 3D.

Paris Hilton is nice looking but that does not mean I want to live with her.

He is a genius. Have you heard him talk? He is also an aspiring rocket scientist, imagine that.

I still haven't forgiven him for treason. If you're a PC gamer, you'll know what I mean.

But if she was still growing and becoming sexier by the day, I don't think you would discount the very real possibility that you will in the future.

I do not know about Treason but RAGE did have whack textures.

When the Godfather of PC gaming says this, "We do not see the PC as the leading platform for games. That statement will enrage some people, but it is hard to characterize it otherwise; both console versions will have larger audiences than the PC version." and this, "You can choose to design a game around the specs of a high-end PC and make console versions that fail to hit the design point, or design around the specs of the consoles and have a high-end PC provide incremental quality improvements. We chose the latter.", I call that treason.

Carmack also said the first thing he is going to do at the time he finished developing Rage he would buy up all the BEST of the BEST PC components toi build the ultimate rig and just game on it.

I don't know about that, but I do know that he has expressed regret for not going PC first with Rage. But that still doesn't make it okay, because the last I have heard Doom 4 is still going to be multi-platform. As a PC gamer first and foremost, that kinda sucks.

But I will confess...

I have an Xbox 360 that I play and love. I just prefer my PC for FPS, RTS, and RPG games.

I also think that it is unfair that PC owners can't really get the most out of their system because developers are more concerned with having their game reach a wider audience more so than putting out something that would push the industry forward. The fact that I have to rely on graphics mods to play Crysis 2 - when the technology is already there for it to look great on release - is kind of sad. I want my system to crumble. At least then I know that I'm getting my money's worth.

See I don't really car about the look I care about the game.

you know what we should fo one of these days is download the co-op mod for doom 3 and get some people together to play it.I had it downloaded one time it was alot of fun.If you died on a level u stayed dead until someone in the group made it to end level.Kind of like last man standing, and yes prey was great and yes mmo it is the game your thinking of very underrated imo.As far as doom 3 goes i really thought ROE was way better although i did enjoy the original to

I love my eyeinfinity and it works for most game if not all with patches.I am thinking about going 2500x1600 though but you have to shell out over a grand for a 30 inch monitor

Ive done all the 4 surrounds you can do and i have mixed feelings about them. So far the one that worked the most smoothest was softTH or Triplehead2go. I like nvidia surround and eyefinity but they required alot more tweaking than softTH did and by alot more i mean days of tweaking or "hacking" different monitors to work nice together.

Don't get me wrong surround is awesome but man i couldn't do it on a daily basis simply because most games you have to turn your head from one side to the other to see whats on the screen on the left or right side such as playing an MMO. It made me tired after playing an MMO for 10 minutes. I would only recommend surround on FPS and racing games.

I am not sure why you had to tweak so much to get eyeinfinity to work i didnt have to tweak anything to be honest, but then again i bought 3 of the exact same monitors.
