There is not going to be +50% amount of change...The 6600k has better IPC than the 2700 so that plus the higher clock speed will yield higher frame rates. It's still intel for very very high frame rates, might change with 3000 series. But for 'normal' frame rates there's no difference no except in the breadth of cores that AMD can offer.
