I realize the board is way too old to recognize the newer NVMe interface, but I was wondering if I put a PCIe to M.2 B-Key adapter in one of the unused PCIe x16 (x4) slots... if it would recognize an M.2 SATA drive on its PCIe interface.

Also... if I've misused some terminology in asking my question, please set me straight.

Yes, but will not BOOT from it.
