I wouldnt recommend overclocking a prescott...
But that is most likely the best air cpu cooler you can buy.
 
Prescotts are very overclockable... the trick is to keep the temp down. That is a good cooler, but I'm not sure if you'll be able to squeeze 600mhz out of it. You might need to go the watercooling route if u want that much Mhz. Keep in mind that Thermaltake sells a good and cheap watercooling solution for around $99. That's only $30 more than the Zalman u want. Can't hurt to try the Zalman though. Here's a link to the Thermaltake water cooling product:

Just thought that there would be much less hassle and maintainance if i stayed with air cooling.

so if i take the zalman then what do you think i could get the 3.0 preshott up to stable, frequency-wise? 3.3? 3.4? 3.6?
