Hello!

First I would like to know if the CPU Ryzen 5 5600X is a good pick for the long term? Or are there better choices?
My current GPU is R9 380 and I'm planning on buying a new GPU when the new gen GPU's will be restocked. I am mostly playing CS GO and so I want to have better FPS since I've got fps problems recently. How much will the bottleneck affect my PC? Can anything be damaged by any chance?
Is currently my GPU bottlenecking my CPU?
Will there be a noticable diffrence between the ryten 5 5600X and i5 6600k
My current CPU is I5 6600K

Thanks in advance!
Alex

Do you by chance know whether the prices will drop soon or will they stay around the same? Asking if it's worth waiting or not

well waiting or not is up to you ... it is all about how important is the upgrade for you now . remember that GPU still needs time for restocking so you dont have to rush.

My Advice is to upgrade when you buy the new GPU ... together.

but whatever you do , dont get any CPU with less than 8 cores for the long term. being intel or AMD.

choose between i7 10700k and Ryzen 5800x

There will be a noticeable difference between the R5 5600x and i5 6600k as the ryzen is 20% faster than your old CPU plus you are getting 2 extra cores and 8 extra threads, but the i5 should still be very good if you only really play light games like cs:go, your issues may be caused by your old GPU since your current CPU is still pretty solid.
