I was wondering what driver set all you poor folk are running for your
GeForce 3 vid-card?

I've been using the latest from nVidia.com but I've heard some say that the
latest aren't the best for a older card like mine.

What say ye?

During the beta test I had a GF4 and I'd agree with them. The newer
drivers are slower than older ones. Personally, I used the Omega
version of the Detonator 45.23a drivers to best success.

If you plan to downgrade drivers, make sure you do it right and get
a program like Driver Cleaner 3.

Uninstall all trace of driver from system. Unhook NIC cable so you
are offline. Boot in safemode and run the cleaner to remove all
nvidia references from the system. Reboot normally (still no NIC)
and then install the drivers. Then you can hook the cable back up
again. This all assumes you are on high speed.

I've read several times that GF3 and 4 users are best off sticking with
45.23 or 51.xx at most. You may just have to experiment and see what's
best. But I was seeing at least a decent frame increase with those drivers
over newer ones.
