Gamespy has a pretty neat hands-on preview of Worlds of Warcraft. I am really starting to get excited about this game; here's hoping that Blizzard makes their launch date to within a year!

Haha, nice sig. I agree.

You hear about the Alpha being leaked? I've seen it in action - you can just run around the world (which is incomplete), but they (whoever swiped the alpha) haven't figured out how to add the npcs or monsters, so it is by no means a playable game.

Oh yeah, the game looks pretty good. Not great, but good for an MMORPG that will stress your system. The Alpha doesn't have any DirectX8 effects yet, so it'll look better once it is released.

Blizzard usually makes fun games. They always make polished games. With an MMORPG, that's very important. I just hope that they can handle the live support that the game will undoubtedly demand from them.

I think Blizzard will pull WoW off pretty well. They are used to handling Battle.net without any extra revenue through subscription fees. While I realize WoW will be much more demanding than Diablo2 or War3 on their servers, they should be well prepared with ~$15/month per user coming in on top of the initial sales.
