I have just started a course for Html/css Javascript. I am in new need of a computer. My old desktop is about 10 years old. I will not be using it for anything other than than writing code and browsing online. Is there any specifications I need or would something like HP all in one or Lenovo be a good choice. Needles to dsay I will have the pc for a while to come

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

What sort of app's will you be using in order to write/compile your code? Better yet, might want to stylize your post or make a follow up post to this thread with info asked in this thread;

If you could include your current system's specs, we can have a good understanding of what we'll be upgrading you from.

An All In One is only good as a fashion statement.
All the drawbacks of a laptop, with none of the mobile benefits.

The non-portability of a desktop, with none of the upgradability.

A course in web programming undoubtedly requires a web server to execute, or at least, serve your code to a browser. If you have to run a web server, then RAM is most important.
Classroom coding is usually not very taxing on your PC because most of what you are doing is "word processing" in an editor. That means that your display (or displays) are most important. I do recommend two displays for coding.

You can build a custom PC or buy a prebuilt/all in one PC that suites your needs.

Generally for web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), you don't need too much powerful PC. Here are the basic specs that I would recommend:

CPU: Intel Core i3/i5/i7 10/11/12th Gen (Locked/unlocked doesn't matter)
RAM: 8GB-16GB
Graphics: IGPU/Dedicated Graphics Card
Coolers: Mid-quality coolers are OK
Case: Anything that you like
Motherboard: A board that supports your hardware requirements
PSU: 300-500W

Current specs of my PC
Fujitsu Esprimo P3521
processor : pentium dual core 3.06GHz
ram : 8gb
Hard disk 320 gb
windows 10 pro
Information on the graphics card and motherboard is not coming up on the power shell in system information
About 10 years old
It is as slow as a turtle.

Budget range € 1200 - €1500

I am using Sublime text editor to start with and then online editors. Whatever I upgrade to I plan to have for a while.

thanks ... the non ability to upgrade is the nail in the coffin. You are 100% correct about the "fashion statement".

Full tower is probably not what you want.

ITX (1 PCIe slot, cases will have two slots)
Micro ATX (4 PCIe slots, cases will have 4-5 slots)
ATX (Mid Tower) (7 PCIe slots, cases will generally have 7, some with 8 slots)
ATX (Full Tower) Usually space for a dozen drives, EATX and FATX motherboards, and occasionally as many as 11 PCIe slots. They are very tall.

What country?

It is more in fitting with a 10 year lifespan.

First round?
