[SOLVED] Wrong Ram Latency

Hello,

I have a 2x4gb 8GB DDR4 Corsair Vengeance 3000Mhz. The model is CMK8GX4M2C3000C16 - so the latency is 16. Also the store page description says it's CL16

But when I check my memory with CPU-Z it shows this - https://ibb.co/dJXdmdy

So is my memory 16 Latency or 15 Latency?

when the RAM is running at that slow speed the CAS will lower.
CAS is measured in Clock Frequency. the RAM is running at 2133mhz. when you get it running at 3000, As one rises so MUST the other.

you need to enable the overclocking profiles in the BIOS to enable the RAM to run at the targeted 1500Mhz (DDR Dual Data Rate of 3000)

Thanks for the answer! I wanted to be sure about the latency, since I wanted to buy a 2x8gb of the exact same model and combine it with the 2x4gb, to save money.

But I guess I may just buy more RAM and not risk and then try selling the current RAM.

My DDR3 memory ( BLS2KIT4G3D1609DS1S00)in my P43T board is running at lower timings than what is on the memory, on the memory it is 9-9-9-24 @ 1600Mhz, my board running at 1333MHz (CPU) the board autoset the timings for 8-8-8-20 with no problems. One guy said he could run it @2400mhz on Msi Gaming 3 z97.
