Question Wuauserv registry and Windows Update Service Malware

Hi I had a problem that i couldnt update my windows or use microsoft store because of some error so i found a fix on youtube. i imported clean wuauserv in regedit and then created windows update service in cmd. after that when i restart the pc wuauserv registry is deleted and windows update service too. im not sure if this is because of malware or not. is there any solution for this?

Why was the Update broken originally?
What was contained in this 'registry fix' from utube? (that is almost always a bad idea)
What got 'deleted' and how?
Which specific Win 10, and where did you get it?

You might consider just a full wipe and reinstall.

i downloaded some hack for one game like 2 years ago and it contained a virus but i had avast and it got deleted and after that windows update wasnt working. i think that's the reason and also i know that reinstalling windows will fix it but i dont want that im looking for a fix without reinstalling windows. i will try using malwarebytes

also i 100% know that the wuauserv registry doesnt contain some bad files its clean i also did some updates till i restarted the pc because when i restart i wont be able to update. i will try updating from winver 1803 to 1909

Running malwarebytes or whatever anti virus may eradicate the "virus", but it won't undo whatever problems they started.

You could be chasing issues for weeks and you don't even know if while doing so you're secure. A reinstall of Windows is not only the solution but recommended.
