Hey my friend is on a budget and wants to get a good graphics card for minimum price, he was looking at a ATI Radeon x1300 Pro, are these any good? You can give me other suggestions but I really want to know how good this thing is.

X1300 PRO isn't that bad actually, but there are better options out there for gaming.

in AGP the 6600 is a bit better...

in PCI express, the 7300 GT GDDR3 version is awesome, so is the X800 GTO. Both under $100 on newegg.

I lusted after the 7300GT GDDR3 when it wasn't sold in the states; now that it's available here, I'm dying to get it. I saw some amazing reviews from Asia where they were able to clock that sucker up to 600/1600MHz core/mem and score mid-5k in 3DM05.

its a piece of poop for gaming purposes

Agreed.

Good for Warcraft III, UT 2004, and below.

The 1300 AND the 1600 series of ATI are dogs. This from a x1900xtx owner, and previous owner of the ones you mention.

The cards listed by other forum writers are well worth the investment for the same money.

Meh, everybody likes to bash them but they aren't that bad.

The X1300 is dirt cheap and is almost as good as the 6600...
There are worse cards out there for sure... the 6200, the 7300 GS.

The X1600 XT is a bit faster than the 7600 GS, for the same price.
Better than the 6600 GT, too.

There are better cards out there for sure, but on a very low budget you could do worse.
