Question X670-E vs X870 for Ryzen 7 x9800X3D ?

I am building a new PC, primarily for gaming, for the new RTX 5080. I think I will put in the Ryzen 7 9800X3D. Would it be better to go with the X670-E or the X870 motherboard ?
They are similar in price. Right now I can't decide between these two:

1) MSI MAG X670E TOMAHAWK WIFI

2) MSI MAG X870 TOMAHAWK WIFI

Which would make the most sense?

Arguably, the newer chipset will be better optimized to support newer CPUs. If price is similar and I was purchasing a new mobo, it would be the newer chipset.

Main difference is in chipset abilities and features, USB4 as well as number of PCIe lanes and generation.
If similar enough price, I would go for newer chipset because why not.
