Hello,
I received my modded Xeon processor this morning and installed it on my (temporary but necessary) PC and it DIDN'T Post. I tried to install back the Core2Duo e8500 and it still didn't post.
I followed this guide (
View: https://youtu.be/HUqBW-kq1_0
) and did all the things hr mentioned in the video. I installed it, it rebooted, fine. As soon as I installed the CPU nothing works.
I tried to reset the CMOS by moving the CLRTC pin and removing the battery but nothing happened.
Specs:
MB: P5G41-M LX
CPU: Core2Duo e8500 / Xeon e5450
GPU: Onboard
RAM: 2GB Corsair Xms2
I know this PC is a piece of garbage put some help would be appreciated.

Brakakevi, were you successful in getting it to work? The Xeons I have are 80 watt that I picked so they would run cooler.
My E5472 on my P45T board is 3.0Ghz but the frequency is 1600Mhz so it allows my ram to run at 1600Mhz. You can only run a 1600Mhz CPU on a board that can handle it. My E5462 is overclocked to 3.1Ghz with 1600Mhz memory also
