Question XMP 2.0 RAM on an XMP 1 motherboard?

I have a Z270X motherboard which supports XMP 1, but I'm considering getting 32GB 3200mhz XMP 2.0 memory. So my question is; will the new memory work with XMP on my motherboard?

The motherboard is the Gigabyte Z270X-Gaming K5. It says it's XMP ready and supports RAM speeds up to 3866mhz.
