Hello, I built my computer a while back and am now starting to look into overclocking it. I started with Xmp, it ran fine for the first 30min had it on. But when I ran a game like over watch I get a straight crash (not even a blue screen). I have the latest BIOS version for my motherboard. I contacted corsair (memory manufacture) and gigabyte (motherboard manufacture). Corsair told me to run memtest86, I ran around 6 test and each of them had 0 errors. I also ran 1 test for each stick of memory. Gigabyte only told me that I have to disable XMP and manfully adjust my multiplier. Now I am find with manually doing that, but I would like to know why I can't enable XMP? and if there is anything at fault here? I can show the test results but they don't give much info.
