XP can't find my lan connect !! WHY???

my cable connect to the onboard lan (P4G8X-D)already, but everytime i logon to XP, its said my lan connection is unplug. the cable is on and i've tried turn off the cable modem and switch on again but still can't detect the connection.

anyone know why ??

have you checked if your lancard is enabled in the BIOS?
