A friend of mine recently installed XP home over her previous O/S (Win Me). While the installation procedure dialog was all English the actual O/S is Spanish! (She lives in the Canary islands, knew it was a Spanish version, but assumed there would be an English option).

Is there any way to revert to English (everything is Spanish, dialog boxes, icons, the lot...) Windows help mentions a 'Multilingual User Interface Pack' but I believe this is just for XP pro.

Any ideas? Being sadly mono-lingual I have no experience with such things.

I think your friend's only option is to buy an English version of WinXP. You are right, the Multilingual User Interface Pack is only available for WinXP Pro.

I really can't think of another way to do this.

Anyone else have an idea?
