Getting lots of web pop ups and script errors. Related or not?
Where can I look for fixes? These are only on the new computer with Win XP.

Get, update and run <A HREF="http://beam.to/spybotsd" target="_new">Spybot 1.1</A>. Very simple free app. Aslo get a pop up killer like maeya (what I use), but that'll cost ya.

Cleaned everything up and bought History Kill. No more web pop ups, but I'm still getting the script error boxes with a web address of www.clickspring.com. They are comming up as scrip errors.

Not sure what's causing that (no expert) but my guess is something in your internet settings is not quite right. Other than that I don't know.

Psyko

Kill the script error display in the browser. Tools\Internet Options\Advanced. Under the Browsing category, clear the check box for "Display a notification about every script error".

According to the information posted on this site, under the screen name <A HREF="http://www.orderdeskxpert.com/wwwboard/messages/254.html" target="_new">"Eva Smith 08:11:56 6/12/2 (46)"</A>, you might have some sort of spyware attached to your system ... probably picked up from running Kazaa or Morpheus.

That's all I could find on the error.

The two best programs for removing spyware, <A HREF="http://spybot.safer-networking.de/" target="_new">Spybot</A> and/or <A HREF="http://www.lavasoftusa.com/" target="_new">Ad-aware</A>. I'm a Spybot fan, myself, since I've not been in the mood to trust Lavasoft after they left their end users swinging in the wind for five months while they updated their program from 5.83 to 6.0. That wasn't cool.

I hope this is more helpful than the last post.
