Hello all, I recently had a mysterious problem with Unknow Partitions
after I re-imaged my os partition with DeployCenter. The restored
image worked fine, but I couldn't see my 2 other partitions. Both
were NTFS on the same drive and I was getting HPFS/os2 description in
XP setup. Well after pulling my hair out for quite a few hours as I
couldn't dare lose the data on those partitions, I came across "The
Ultimate Boot CD" at http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/. Downloaded it,
booted up, went into file system tools, ran boot manager and what do
you know, those 2 partitions had a hidden status on them. Changed to
unhidden and now I'm good to go! Don't know why this happened but
just glad it's resolved. Just wanted to share just in case anybody
else had this problem.

Kevin, thanks for posting the solution you found. Could save a few hours
troubleshooting in the future.

You can use "Partition Magic" to find out that problem to,
that's how I solved my problem.

I do not lnow why the problem happened either.

I wonder if Win-XP is capable of doing "unhide & hide
a partition"?
