Well since it's only for light web surfing and things like PPT and Word, maybe you could lower the 1 TB to like 500 or 750 GB and invest in 4 GB of RAM? I think that might be better
They will give around the same FPS at 1080p, however, if you are looking to play on multiple monitors or at higher resolutions, more VRAM will prove to be more beneficial.
NVIDIA Control Panel> Find Minecraft.exe in the list of programs> Find the option that asks if you want to use the integrated graphics or the High Performance NVIDIA Graphics Card>Pick the GTX 860M (your GPU)>Play!
My PC was BSODing multiple times a while ago, I'd get maybe 10 blue screens a week, and none of the solutions online helped me. But what I did was run in the command prompt "sfc/ scannow" 5 times, and EVERYTHING was back to normal.
I also had the "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" stop code, and my...
8 GB of RAM is plenty.
I have 8 GB and I run shaders absolutely beautifully with 80+ FPS on a FAR render distance, and your GPU and CPU are much better than mine, you'll be fine man :)
Hi, you should get another recording program, FRAPS is notoriously famous for destroying your FPS.
I suggest DxTory or NVIDIA Shadowplay. Keep in mind that Shadowplay will only work on NVIDIA GPUs that are part of the 600 Series or higher.
Hello, I had a very similar problem a long time ago.
What I did to fix it was download CCleaner and run a system clean, NOT A REGISTRY CLEAN, after I ran it my FPS was back to normal :)
