Wait a couple weeks for the 480. It should beat the 390x. And NVidia cards don't drop in price when they release their next generation cards jd. Also, the reference card MSRP is $450, not $400.

Priced as stated they have similar performance for the money. On 1080p though, may as well just wait for the rx 480 in a couple weeks.

Since the 480s are expected to only be slightly better than the 390s, you'll likely get the best value out of a second 390. the 1070 being better in games without multi gpu profiles.
