In a laptop I think upgrading the Processor is much harder than upgrading the memory , as far as i know .

I am getting a new laptop and i am on a budget so it's either to get a 1.8 GHz/2MB core 2 duo with 2 Gb of RAM , or 2.0 GHz /4 MB with only 1 Gb of Ram ???? What Do u think ? *Sorry For posting this where it doesn't belong * :oops:

Well the last time Intel launched a processor beginning with a ( P ) , it was a mess , hoping nothing like that happens this time . :lol:

It sounds like a good build but since you won't overclock then go with GA-965P-S3 or Abit AB9 cheaper and not much of a difference , also you might want to get a 8800GTS it's now for 345$ after rebate , way better than x1950 , or go with a cheap card for now and wait tell the R600 from AMD\ATI...

turned out to be a very bad mistake , one of the brass isolators was misplace in the case caused a short circuit .

I am using a pentium D820 ( 2.8, 2 MB cache ) , with MSI P945 brand new , just bought them now , i connected every thing correctly (10 systems before on the same specs ) , but there the PSU fan starts the CPU fan starts , and after about 7 seconds it stops by it self , i tried taking off every...

for prozac26 : The processor can be overclocked out of the box by simply connecting specific pins in it increasing the voltage of it , a full tutorial for this is found on VR-zone check it if you want , or that what i understood from the site .
