Hey everyone 🙂
Thought I’d get some advice from you lot.
I’m looking for a decent laptop I can get here in Ireland on the high streets for about €500. It’s for video editing/photoshop and website browsing for my online business.
I absolutely cannot stand slow computers so it would have to be a fairly smooth experience. Preferably a 1080p and up (doubt you’ll get anything above at that price) screen but it’s not a deal breaker if it’s not.

Solution
For that price you are either looking at a used system or something with a Ryzen 5 CPU, that will probably be the fastest CPU in your price range.
Know anywhere I can get used laptops? 🙂 If I was to get a used one, which would you recommend? Lol

Lots of places, but they may not be available where you live. Craigslist is one, and you probably have a local version. You would want to see the laptop running in person if you can. The Lenovo W and P models are great sturdy workstation systems, for your price range you should be able to find one a few years old with a good quad core i7 CPU in it. Looks like the W540 models are in the $400 range online, if needed you can buy a solid state drive and still be well within your price. I would try to get one with a docking station so you can use it with a monitor and keyboard/mouse easier.
