Question 1 Cable Modem to 2 Wireless Routers

Hello,

I am trying to see if this would possibly work before I invest in getting another wireless router and switch.

I currently have 1 Cable Modem in my basement where the Coax comes in the house. From there it connects its WAN port to a port I have in my office then to my Wireless Router.

Is there a way that I can add a switch before the Wireless Router and then connect another Wireless Router in the basement?

So it would look like this:
Cable Modem -> Switch -> WAN 1 & WAN 2

So I would have two different Wireless Networks running off of the same Cable Modem.

The reason is to have another Wireless Network in the basement without having to run another cable back down from my office.
Also, the cable modem only has the Coax and the 1 WAN port.

I am also not aware if this method will require two public IPs, for this question lets assume I only have 1 public IP because I am not sure.

Thanks
