1000, 1100 or 1200?

Hmm I'm going to byu a new processor to my new sys.. and I'm not going fer a ddr system even though it might be here bfr christmas, still I have doubt about that. I bought an Alpha cooler for socket A, the 6035MUC. And now I've started to wonder if I should buy a 1ghz or 1.1ghz and clock it to 1250mhz.. Has this been done? Is the Alpha good enough a cooler to prevent the cpu from doing the china syndrome ? If so should I choose the 1ghz or the 1.1ghz ? And hmm I've never overclocked any AMD cpu bfr.. only loads o intel ones.. I currently own an old 550 slot A athlon .. so.. HELP!!!!

hate to shower on your "party" but isn't it a bit pointless to discuss dreammachines w/o talking Operating Systems? Isn't there a huge "maybe" when we include "dual-tbirds" and "win2k" in the same phrase?
