[SOLVED] 1050 ti gpu with 11th gen cpu

I was asking about the gpu i am getting and somebody told me that a old gpu could damage my newer gen cpu (intel core i5 11600k) i was just wondering if this was true or not and if it is can i prevent the damage by doing anything

i would be getting a gtx 1050ti


(btw im currently running an igpu on my i5)
