Hey, so I was looking to upgrade to 144hz from 60hz ( Rainbow Six Siege is my main game) but I'm confused whether to buy a 1080p or 1440p due to a sale here I'm getting a Dell 1440p 165hz 27" and Asus 1080p 165hz 24" for almost the same price. My specs are: i7 6700, GTX 1070 ,8 GB Ram. I know my system cant push 165fps on 1440p but if I lower my in game resolution to 1080p in Siege and play other games on 1440p 60fps will the game look ugly on 1080p or will it look fine I mean will it look blurry to play 1080p on a 1440p monitor?

Solution
No, it'll look just fine. At least I think so. I'd advise the 1440p over the 1080p. If for no other reason, when you upgrade down the road, you'll still have a good monitor. I recently upgraded to a 32" 1440p @ 144hz monitor and I have most of my games running at 1080p (due to my older 1060 6GB) and they look just fine. At least to my eyes. :)
